Dean's Welcome Message

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students, I have great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Biosciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. The Faculty of Biosciences is one of the two faculties in the College of Science, KNUST. Our faculty plays a key role in teaching, research, and service to community. In our faculty, students have the opportunity to discover their talents through well-developed curriculum, student-centered programmes, academic-industry relations, a responsive staff, and support services for students’ well-being.

The primary goal of our curriculum is to equip students, not only to acquire knowledge and skills for the job, but to train them to become critical thinkers, life-long learners, and to motivate them to acquire questioning and communication skills, that can lead them to develop problem-solving attitude. Essentially, we guide the students through self-development and self-discovery, plus professional development. Read more
