History of the Faculty
The primary goal of our curriculum is to equip students, not only to acquire knowledge and skills for the job, but to train them to become critical thinkers, and life-long learners, and to motivate them to acquire questioning and communication skills, that can lead them to develop a problem-solving attitude. Essentially, we guide the students through self-development and self-discovery, plus professional development. With these skills, our graduates are prepared for the job market. Based on the collective strengths of our Faculty, the resources of the university, and the large student number of over 4,000, spread across five departments, together with other programmes, our KNUST ranks the leading university for quality education in 2023 (Times Higher Education 2023 Impact Ranking, SDG4).
